We make a wide range of handmade solid oak windows all bespoke and made to measure
We make and install a whole range of beautiful Oak external joinery, ranging from enormous screens to small windows, and French doors through to front doors.
Suitable for both new build and restoration projects, all our Oak joinery is bespoke, made to measure, and manufactured to the highest specification.
We can manufacture to a variety of styles to suit almost any project, whether it’s; a very modern screen with large glazed areas, traditional joinery sat in an Oak frame, or, windows for an historic or period property.
We have the expertise and skill to find the right solution for you and help you through the design process.
The outside of the window frame is wider than the opening sash so when sash is drawn closed it forms a protective lip over the frame to protect against extreme weather conditions. The highly efficient double glazing units and draught stripping maintain excellent insulating properties; making sure they are perfectly suited to properties that are exposed to harsh weather conditions. The style is mostly suitable for many properties built after the war.
Our robust windows are constructed from grade One European solid oak which will last for many years. The extremely thorough covering achieved from a factory sprayed wood stain or coloured paint finish is easy to maintain and lasts for many years. You can choose from an extensive paint range with different colours available on the interior and exterior. Once these windows are installed there is no further work required as all the paint or wood stain is pre-finished in the workshop.
Security is of a high standard. The storm proof windows are fitted with draft-proof seals, friction hinges, multipoint espagnolette locking system that bring the benefit of security and double keeps. If double keeps are used, then no unsightly trickle vents are need for the windows. They also use the same thermally efficient 24mm double glazed units used in all of our windows and doors.
Flush casement windows are constructed from grade one European solid oak which will last for many years. They are designed so that the opening sash sit flush within the frame and not proud of the main frame as demonstrated in our "storm proof" style of window. Despite the name, these are every bit as weatherproof as our "storm proof" window system, incorporating the same draft-proof weather seals. With its clean lines and sleek finish, the flush casement window suits every property type from barn conversions, to period and more distinctive homes. The flush casement windows range looks more traditional, by using stainless steel, black or brass ironmongery. Our flush window range can still incorporate the factory sprayed wood stain or coloured paint finish which is easy to maintain and lasts for many years You can choose from an extensive paint range with different colours available on the interior and exterior. Modern flush casement windows are also constructed from grade one European solid oak which will last for many years. The windows are designed to have the same high level of draft-proofing and up to date ironmongery as the storm proof windows. All the ironmongery has been rebated in such a way that is not visible from the outside nor inside of the window when is closed. This style is an advantage over much other joinery company who leaves these visible from the outside. This also helps on security as is not possible for intruders to directly attack the hinges or locks from the outside of the property.
